the end of this supervisor training decision making course, participants
will be able to:
- describe the concept of decision thinking as a vital
prerequisite to effective decision making
- recognise the four stages of
decision thinking
- value the benefit of managing a "thinking team" in addition
to a "doing team"
- describe the difference between different types of
thinking, e.g., lateral, creative
- use creative thinking techniques to
solve problems
- explain why decisions, once made, cannot be left but need
constant monitoring and re-evaluation
- appraise risk analysis techniques
and use quantitative and qualitative methods to helpminimise risk taking
